Ammunition Reloading Courses

There are two Reloading Course options: Metallic Cartridge and Shotshell.  While both courses are available, GunTrainingFlordia.com offers the NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge more often than Shotshell.

Metallic Cartidge Reloading - NRA Basic Course

[8 hours; 2-6 attending]

TOPICS:  the following instructional materials are covered in this course:

I.   Reloading Basics and Safety - ammunition firing and reloading processes are included along with a discussion of why we reload and all the so very important safety rules.

II.  Center-Fire Components - reloading components are described along with proper handling and storage of these potentially dangerous items.

III. Using Reloading Manual & Data Tables - the techniques of selecting the correct mix of components for reloading and how to correctly utilize ballistic and related performance information provided by manufacturers and associations.

IV. Metallic Cartridge Reloading Equipment - the Reloading Bench is described along with the proper operation & maintenance of reloading equipment so necessary for safe and accurate relaoding.

V.  The Metallic Reloading Process - the proper reloading processes and techniques used for metallic reloading are covered along with special hygiene guidelines for handling lead and caustic powder and primer materials.

VI. Metallic Reloading Exercise - here we bring all this new knowledge together and actually reload a variety of cartridges using proper set-up, alignment and operational techniques used on reloading equipment.

Following these exercises, every student then fires those newly-reloaded cartridges.

Shotshell Reloading - NRA Basic Course

[8 hours; 2-4 attending]
